The Normandy Food Tour will be working its way across the Southeast and East of England this May bank holiday weekend. It will see some of the best food, drink and music travel through Hastings on April 29th; Windsor on April 30th; Norwich on May 1st and Canterbury on May 2nd.

Taking place on the seafront at Hastings; in Alexandra Gardens in Windsor; in Chapelfield Gardens in Norwich and in Dane John Gardens in Canterbury, the tour will be a celebration of the towns' shared historic significance with Normandy along with an occasion to enjoy the region's food and drink and live music from the Carpanorama music bus.

A demo stage, hosted by food festival favourite Nigel Barden, will see a schedule of fabulous French and local chefs, including Clementine Yonnet and François Eustace, cook up traditional and innovative cuisine including 'Escalope à la Normande', Teurgoule rice pudding along with the universally loved brioche.

Totally free-to-attend masterclasses will be held throughout the day sampling some of Normandy's best exports. Sign yourself up for a cider tasting and experience a journey from the traditional methods through to styles defining the future. Fancy something sweet? Bring the whole family for a Normandy Sweet Treats Tasting, tucking into La Maison Du Biscuit cakes, Jeannette Madeleines, Caramel De Pommes Dieppois and more. More of a cheese fiend? – we've got you covered with a cheese tasting ticking off the classics like Camembert, Neufchatel and Isigny Mimolette. Or why not get into the bank holiday spirit and chance a calvados flight tasting a range of ages and styles?

Still hungry for more? Normandy food trucks will be serving up tasty sweet and savoury dishes for hungry punters. Normandy Truck 76 marries the finest Normandy beef with creamy camembert served up in a soft bun. Le Fish Truck will be serving up shucking fresh seafood in Hastings and Windsor and then the finest French poultry in Norwich and Canterbury.

Finally, who can resist dessert, especially when it's Caravanille preparing delicious fresh brioche and cheesecakes? So, save the date, tell your friends, invite your family and pop by for the Normandy Food Tour 2022.
