Cotswold-based Daylesford launches new drinks made in Devon and Cornwall

New drinks from Cotswold-based Daylesford Organics

Sustainable farming and retailing experts, Daylesford Organic based in the Cotswolds has launched a collection of new drinks made in Devon and Cornwall including the first organic tonic water to be manufactured in the UK. A new organic gin and vodka, featuring a label with a vibrant, bespoke design by artist Hugo Guinness are also now available.

Perfect for enjoying at weddings, the new items include the Daylesford Organic Tonic Waters available in four flavours (Light, Cucumber, Wild Elderflower and Damascena Rose) and each are mixed with dandelion instead of quinine to keep the product organic and offer an earthy aroma.

The Daylesford Organic Fig Leaf Gin is infused with fig leaves, bergamot, gorse and herbs with notes of citrus. The gin is inspired by the scents of the gardens and wildflower meadows surrounding Daylesford's farm in the Cotswolds.

The Daylesford Organic Hop Vodka is a wheat grain vodka with a leafy green scent, gently distilled with hand-picked hops, fresh rosemary and thyme.

Daylesford Organic Tonic Waters are the perfect accompaniment for the Fig Leaf Gin or Hop Vodka, garnished simply with a slice of cucumber or lime. Each of the four flavours is mixed with dandelion, the most natural and organic bittering agent, and an alternative to conventional quinine. Made and bottled in small batches on a family farm in Devon, and lower in sugar than market leaders, the tonic waters are priced at £1.49 for 200ml and £2.49 for 500ml.

Made in Cornwall in small batches with ingredients grown in rich organic soil, the Fig Leaf Gin and Hop Vodka are both distilled in traditional bain-marie stills, hand-crafted and unfiltered. These Cornish-manufactured spirits not only taste delicious but offer the opportunity to support British businesses, whilst also reducing food miles and carbon footprint.

The spirit bottles are made in Scotland from 20% recycled glass and are reusable and endlessly recyclable. In addition, the bottling plant will re-use the internal factory rejects and returns, which can account for approximately 10-15% more of the glass being recycled. The bespoke design on the label by Hugo Guinness features an illustration of a dreamy garden scene, celebrating fig leaves and hops. Both spirits are ABV 40% and priced at £45 for 70cls.
