Newly opened Retreat at Elcot Park in Berkshire unveils autumn and winter events

The Newly opened Retreat at Elcot Park in Berkshire

The newly opened Retreat at Elcot Park located in Newbury, Berkshire has just revealed an exciting line-up of autumn and winter events. On the 30th of October and the 27th of November, for a relaxing Sunday, why not visit The Courtyard Farmers Market at The Retreat? Pop in to browse a fabulous array of food and gift stalls, grab a hot bacon roll, listen to live music or even visit the wine cellar for a tasting session. For the little ones, there will be a face painter, along with plenty of space to play. The market will be open from 10 am till 4 pm and why not make a day of it and visit the hotel's 1772 brasserie for Sunday lunch?

On the 22nd of November, attend the official launch of The Retreat's first Christmas. The Christmas lights will be switched on at 6 pm kicking off the Christmas countdown. Look forward to joyful carols and plenty of festive tipples and nibbles. Let the Christmas countdown and sing-along begin!

On the 25th of November, join an elite panel of guests from the world of racing at a Coral Gold Cup preview dinner. The Coral Gold Cup (formerly known as "The Hennessey") is an iconic-two day race meet which is seen by many as the highlight of the local Newbury calendar. To mark this occasion The Retreat at Elcot Park is holding a special Gold Cup event, so guests and locals can experience an indulgent weekend both on and off the racecourse. Consisting of a preview dinner in The Orangery, where guests can take part in a Q&A from a panel of expert guest speakers, including Nicky Henderson (trainer), Ruby Walsh (former jockey) and Harry Derham (former jockey and now a trainer), and hosted by Vanessa Ryle (racing journalist), this is not one to miss for the savvy racing punter. Along with a charity auction of racing memorabilia, ticket prices include entry to the afterparty in the courtyard the following day. With live music from the excellent seven-piece band The Lateshift and cocktails upon arrival, visitors can mark the end of the weekend in style.

The Retreat is offering a special accommodation package to include both of these events, so guests can relax and reset in the hotel following this wild racing extravaganza! Tickets cost £60 per person. To find out more and to book, visit https://www.retreatelcotpark.com/whats-on/retreat-events-open-to-all/#show-6
