Located one and a half hours from central London, Donnington Valley provides the perfect setting for a January wellness retreat. It's thought the winter blues, or seasonal affective disorder (SAD), affects around 2 million people in the UK. As the long, dark winter months take their toll, Donnington Valley has created its new package, the Sunny D Spa Break to get some much-needed sunshine into guest's lives! Curated to infuse as much Vitamin D into the body as possible, this fabulous spa break includes Vitamin-rich meals, as well as two treatments providing the perfect new year tonic:

The Aqua Sun Treatment is an immersive experience that replicates that holiday feeling to restore serotonin and Vitamin D levels. Guests bathe in warm water while air jets gently massage the body to boost circulation, disperse toxins and nourish dry skin conditions. Above, a low-level UV drenches guests with light, a fine source of vitamin D that is particularly good for treating seasonal affective disorder (SAD) and promoting a sense of well-being. If that's not enough, guests can also enjoy a 45-minute LED facial. Designed to work alongside Germaine de Capuccini products, it improves and maximises results with intense light therapy to stimulate tissue regeneration.

Designed for those looking to escape the city and relax in the lush surroundings of Donnington Valley, the Winter Spa Break, £199, incorporates plenty of enriching experiences to combat those post-Christmas blues. The break allows guests to relax into the season and includes a walking map to encourage visitors to get outside and embrace the great outdoors. The break also includes delicious, warming food, and spa access throughout guests' visits as well as vitamin-rich treatments for the perfect post-Christmas detox feeling.

The Winter Spa Break includes:
An invigorating 25-minute Sperience Exfoliating Scrub, rich in brown algae extracts, mineral salts and vitamins C and E that leaves the skin nourished and softened. It helps to stimulate lipolysis, detoxifying the skin and removing dead skin cells.
The package also includes a heavenly 55-minute Detox Treatment. Guests can choose from either an Excel Therapy O2 City Proof Facial, to repair skin damage caused by pollution delivering oxygen deep into the cells to provide detoxified and radiant skin or Green Tea Detox Therapy, a detoxifying body massage that will help to eliminate toxins from the mind and body.
