TeamSport Indoor Karting to Open its First Shopping Centre Location in High Wycombe

Go Karting

TeamSport, Europe's leading indoor go-karting company, has officially revealed it will be launching its thirty-sixth UK venue this summer, in High Wycombe's Eden Shopping Centre. This will be the company's first UK shopping centre site and is to include a 425m, multi-level track, with state-of-the-art electric karts and a range of other exciting activities, that are yet to be announced.

The track has been professionally designed, with two ramps, speedy straights, and thrilling corners giving drivers ample opportunities to feel the thrill of the unrivalled, electric kart acceleration. However, it is not only the hard-core karting and motorsport enthusiasts that will be delighted with the new TeamSport location as Dom Gaynor, CEO of TeamSport explained.

"The team and I are incredibly excited, about our opening in the Eden Shopping Centre this summer. Whilst it will be our thirty-sixth site in the UK, it is extra special as it is our first track to be located within a shopping centre location. The venue will offer the usual unparalleled indoor karting experience that our customers have come to expect from TeamSport, but this will be complemented by a range of other exciting experiences and a delicious food and drink offering. Customers will be able to kart, play and then stay to relax in our stylish bar area or our outdoor rooftop terrace. Whilst karting is available for those aged eight or over, the other experiences we will have at High Wycombe will mean there is something for everyone to enjoy irrespective of age. Whether it is an unforgettable family day out, a meet-up with mates, an unparalleled hen party or an incredible team-building experience that you are looking for, TeamSport has you covered!"

TeamSport has announced that High Wycombe will be the next electric karting venue. The company's goal is to have all its tracks fully electric by December 2026, and it is making significant progress towards achieving this objective. Currently, more than 50% of TeamSport's venues are operating electric kart fleets, with plans to convert additional venues in the future. Dom Gaynor, CEO spoke to the importance of the electrification project. "The decision to significantly invest in the electrification of the business was motivated by two key factors, both of which are hugely important. Of course, there is the obvious environmental benefit, which is compounded by the fact we also ensure our electricity supply is from renewable sources and the second is that electric karts don't generate any fumes and are a lot less noisy making it a nicer environment for spectators and visitors."

A spokesperson for Eden said, "'We are thrilled to announce the launch of TeamSport indoor karting at Eden High Wycombe! We can't wait to unveil this highly anticipated, adrenaline-fuelled experience to our customers which marks a new era of entertainment at the shopping centre. The state-of-the-art racing track will launch alongside a stylish bar and outdoor roof terrace, where shoppers can enjoy the thrill of racing followed by refreshments within comfortable surroundings. At Eden, we're committed to offering our valued shoppers, locals, and tourists unforgettable activities, alongside unparalleled customer service. We can't wait to bring the ultimate racing adventure to High Wycombe and are confident it's going to be a must-visit destination for families, friends, and corporate events."
